NEW! 2010 EBERLESTOCK X2 HUNTING PACK Eberlestock's popular X2 has undergone a renovation, and it's ready to run for the 2010 hunting season!
New features include a tough, lightweight tubular aluminum frame, longer pads on the waist belt, and bigger, more accessible pockets built into the belt. This pack was always in a class of its own, and now they've taken it even further into the realm of the unbeatable. The X2 is a tough little pack with big pack features. Like oversized compression straps for lashing on a heavy load. Dual hydration compartments. Quick–access pockets for spotting scopes and tripods. And now a rugged IntEx metal frame. Other major features include:
Combine the X2 with Eberlestock's A1SS or A2SS side scabbards for carrying a shotgun or rifle, or with their ARCG ButtBucket for on–the fly access to a compound bow. Eberlestock field tested the X2 with a 100 lb. bag of sand carried in one of their J2SD Spike Camp Duffels attached to the pack by wrapping the X2's built–in compression straps around it. It performs extremely well... which informs them of two things; (1) that the pack is nicely compatible with the J2SD if you want to move some gear to a spike camp (2) that this pack will carry a serious load, like an elk quarter, just by banging it onto the front of the pack with 4 quick buckles.
A full mesh back panel, with pads in the essential places, is separated from the main pack by a big air gap. This is a cool–wearing, tight riding little pack that has more capabilities than any book bag you'll ever find.
The X2 opens its wings to unveil two tuck pockets inboard of the zippered hydration pockets. These are perfect for stowing a spotting scope and tripod, or other items you'll want quick access to. At the bottom of the pack is the FlexChassis, ready to flip forward to use as a seat, or to cradle the bottom of a load that you strap to the front of the pack with its oversized compression straps.
If you prefer to carry your scope inside one of the padded wing pockets, there's plenty of room! Shown above, a Nikon Fieldscope takes up only about half of the volume of the pocket. Manfrotto tripod is snugly held in the right side. X–project packs are designed for the hunter that wants light and fast mobility. Whether you're a bow hunter or a gun hunter, once you've discovered the ability to move with your hands free from carrying your weapon, it'll change the way that you think about hunting.

NEW! 2010 EBERLESTOCK BLUE WIDOW HUNTING PACK The Blue Widow is basically a Dragonfly with the scabbard layer removed. The main vertical pockets and utility expansion compartment are attached directly to the main frame panel. They added a larger Flex Chassis which can fold forward for use as a seat. And because they think that scabbards and packs go together, they made it so that you can add one if you need it. Remove the fanny pack / top compartment, and you get a very compact and capable full–format pack that will behave as a daypack when lightly loaded, but will expand to carry heavy loads of meat and gear. Similar to the Just One and Dragonfly packs, the JP9 has a wide range of configurations. The basic pack capacity runs from about 2200 cubic inches (including the removable fanny pack) to about 4700 cubic inches. Add a Spike Camp Duffel to the outside and it grows to 7200 cubic inches; add a Super Spike Duffel and it grows to 7600 cubic inches. The pack's patented Cam Expansion feature and unique features such as the 4–way compression straps and Flex Chassis give it outstanding performance in every configuration – so you can use it as a compact, close riding daypack, or as a full–scale freighter, or anything in between. Most packs will only do one of these things, and the Blue Widow is designed to outclass them all, whether daypack or freighter. These fannys beat your basic fanny because they ride extremely well, and they have a hydration sleeve built in – so you can put your water and essentials in the top pack, and then pop it off to do a lightweight recce run. The Blue Widow's fanny features compression straps, and Padlock webbing style attachment system, so that when it's woven onto the main pack it'll ride like it's sewn to it. Add their ARCG ButtBucket kit to the Blue Widow to get what is undoubtedly the best full– format bowhunting pack on the market. You can mount the ButtBucket high or low, depending on what works best for your rig. If you mount it high, you can sit and ride a horse while wearing the pack and carrying your bow. The Blue Widow has a unique portal built into the frame's back wall that's designed to accommodate one of their Side Scabbards. Choose the A1SS (for shotguns), A2SS or A2LS (for scoped hunting rifles and bolt–action sniper rifles). This configuration puts the scabbard right along your spine, which is the perfect place to carry a heavy long item like a long gun. And, as you'd expect, you can easily retrieve your rifle from the pack when using this system. The frame on the Blue Widow is simple, sophisticated, and extremely comfortable. The main pad section rides directly on the contourable stays, and is vertically adjustable to exactly fit the torso length of the wearer. The pads have just the right amount of body contact, and an air space between these and the framesheet allows a great deal of ventilation, giving the pack the best advantages of both internal and external frame packs.

NEW! 2010 EBERLESTOCK BLUE WIDOW HUNTING PACK J2RC RAIN COVER Eberlestock's Reversible Waterproof Rain Cover is tailor made to fit their "BLUE WIDOW" backpack. They know how important it is to keep your stuff dry when you're out in the weather. So they made covers that will give you every option. The J2RC is big enough to go over the "BLUE WIDOW" pack when it is fully expanded and loaded up, and can even cover a gun in the scabbard. Or, you can leave the gun uncovered in case you are in a place where you think you'll need it quickly. It also works well when the pack is compacted, because it has an aggressive elastic edging that pulls it tight around the pack. The blaze side is a great way to flag your pack if you remove it for making a stalk. Why offer a rain cover when their NT1 pack fabric is waterproof? Think driving rain. When it's impossible to keep the innards of a backpack dry without an honest rain cover. If you're going to be out for an extended trip in wet weather, or you'll be bivvying your pack, you'll appreciate having a nice rain cover along. Available in UNICAM Universal Digital Camouflage, reversible to Blaze Orange. $26.99 |
